Nuremberg Trials
The Nuremberg Trials were held to bring justice to German officials and major military leaders of World War II. The Nuremberg trials were a series of 13 different trials carried out in Nuremberg, Germany. The trails took place between the years of 1945 and 1949. The defendants of the trails included, Adolf Hitler, who later committed suicide, high ranking Nazi officials, and other high-ranking military officers. Along with all of these people included other German lawyers and doctors. All the names listed below are men who were tried or supposed to be tried in the Nuremberg Trials:
All of these Germans were convicted on such large charges of crimes against peace and humanity, that the legal justifications for their trials and their procedural innovations were very controversial around the World at the time. The Nuremberg trials are now regarded as a milestone for the World. These trials set in stone the establishment of a permanent international court.
